Steam over Spencer 2025
Is a public event hosted by the museum and is open to the general public.
Dates are March 5th - March 9th. Setup on 5th and breakdown on the 9th.
Butane, alcohol and coal permitted to fire, fuel and water on site
Track we have 3 large 45mm dual main tracks (10'+ radius) and will have a 2 smaller dual gauge one there. There will be a Swap table for just steamer access for security, (no public). Again as last event light breakfast of pastries and the like on site with beverages of coffee, tea, water and soft drinks to be available throughout the day. Lunch and dinner is on your own and but we will host again a dinner on Friday night in the facility.
Lunch truck on site for lunches on Friday and Saturday.
Event times:
Wednesday setup after 9AM and open until 5:30PM
Thursday 8AM-10PM
Friday and Saturday 8AM-10PM
Sunday breakdown no earlier than 9AM
There are a few good restaurants around for lunches and dinner too.

We will have train rides available on Friday and Saturday. There will also be a private shop tour of the restoration facility available to sign up for.
Hotels are nearby though not on site but is just minutes away. The rates vary but the Group Name is "Steam over Spencer" with all.

Flights can be Charlotte, NC or Greensboro NC, both about an hr away.
All proceeds after expenses will be donated to the museum.
As a state facility we need a license for consuming alcohol and it is cost prohibitive for us so no beer or wine will be allowed on site.
